The Rare Instinct is a reminder to listen to the inner voice that guides us forward, and to find strength in staying true to ourselves.
Rooted in both personal memory and cultural heritage, the fish has long symbolized protection and prosperity.
Drawn to fish motifs throughout her childhood, Aysha later rediscovered the symbol and became fascinated by its
deeper meaning across the SWANA region and the Mediterranean.
Traditionally worn as a talisman against the evil eye, the fish was believed to be protected from envy beneath the
water’s surface.
For Aysha, it also carries a personal connection, recalling a charm she has kept since university. Through this piece, she celebrates a symbol of protection, prosperity, and the enduring resilience of the SWANA region.
