Traditionally worn as a talisman against the evil eye, the fish was believed to be protected from envy beneath the water’s surface.

For Aysha, it also carries a personal connection, recalling a charm she has kept since university. Through this piece, she celebrates a symbol of protection, prosperity, and the enduring resilience of the SWANA region.
